Advisor to the Prime Minister on Interior Rehman Malik directed Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad to ensure security and protect the lives and property of the residents of Islamabad.
Rehman Malik chaired a high level meeting to review law and order and security situation of Islamabad in view of the recent killings in Swat, Bannu and Lahore.
He said that protecting the lives of the people is the responsibility of the government. The security of Federal capital would be enhanced and no one would be allowed to challenge the writ of the government.
