The anti-terrorist court (ATC) on Tuesday rejected the report submitted by the commission on the Mumbai attacks case.
The ATC was hearing the petition against the judicial commission, submitted by the accused in the case, a private TV channel reported.
The court rejected the report and termed the Indian move of not allowing the commission access to witnesses in the case, illegal.
The commission was not only barred from cross-examining but access to the four witnesses was also not granted, the court said.
The court added that the commission’s report could not be made part of records related to those accused in Pakistan and that the activities of the judicial commission were a waste of time.
If both Pakistan and India agreed then the judicial commission could travel to India to cross-examine the witnesses in the future, the ATC added.
