At least eight people were killed while dozens injured when a bus with 50 passengers on board fell into a ravine in the city’s suburban area of Kahuta on Tuesday morning, police said.
According to the details, the ill-fated bus was en-route to Kahuta from Narh village, Rawalpindi, when it went out of driver’s control and careened off several feet down into the valley, killing eight people on the spot and injuring dozens others.
According to rescue sources, at least 15 injured people in critical condition.
After the incident, police rescue teams reached on the site while the injured and bodies were shifted to Kahuta Tehsil Hospital.
Six critically injured people were shifted to District Headquarters Hospital, Rawalpindi.
