Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) estranged leader Riaz Hussain Pirzada on Sunday said the constitution and legislation was good if it was for the sake of country, not when it was used for individuals. Pirzada said after the implementation of the 18th Amendment, every parliamentarian was forced to follow the party’s opinion and restrained to make decisions according to their own conscience to save their seats. “Constitutions are made by two third majorities, but legislation is brought about by simple majority just to benefit specific personalities,” he added. He said the judiciary would eliminate this “specific legislation aimed at benefiting specific personalities” because it was against the spirit of constitution.
