Veteran journalist Mahmood Hamdani was buried at his ancestral village Bahter, near Fateh Jang on Saturday night. He breathed his last early on Saturday morning at a local hospital. He had stopped eating for the past some days and had been suffering from dehydration. He was taken to PIMS for treatment on Wednesday night where the doctors detected a kidney problem. He underwent a dialysis but could not recover. During his long professional career, Mr Hamdani served in various capacities including Resident Editor The Nation, Islamabad. Later, he joined Pakistan Today as a member of its founding team at Islamabad. Pakistan Today Editor Mr Arif Nizami, the management and staff of the newspaper express their heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and pray that Allah Almighty may give them the courage and patience to bear this great loss.
