Rawal Town administrator, TMO visit flood control room

Rawal Town Administrator Saif Anwar Jappa and Town Municipal Officer (TMO) Chaudhry Liaquat Ali on Friday night visited special flood control room established in the TMA office to monitor possible flood situation in Nullah Leh, which is working round the clock and monitoring the situation. According to a TMA spokesman, the Rawal Town administrator and the TMO, during their visit, issued special instructions to the officers concerned and directed them to monitor all the arrangements and flood situation of Nullah Leh. They said that a special monitoring committee under the supervision of the TMO with other members, Wasiq Ullah Qureshi, Tahir Mahmood Khan, Iftikhar Ahmed Raja, Toseef Ahmed Malik and Tariq Aziz Bhatti, is reviewing the possible flood threat situation of Nullah Leh and all necessary steps for the protection of the citizens would be taken. The Rawal Town administrator has also constituted a relief committee comprising Shehzad Gohar, Inayat Hussain, Pervaiz Iqbal Mughal and Manzoor Ahmed. Zia Ullah, Imran Shaker, Nadeem Ahmed Cheema and Muhammad Ejaz will work as the heads of four sectors of the city while four flood centres in Commercial Market, Mukha Singh, Peerwadhai and Bunni have also been set up to cope with any flood situation and for a quick response in case of any untoward incident during the monsoon season.
