People of minority community staged a protest against long power cuts in Saddar area of the city here on Saturday. A large number of women and children also participated in the protest. The protesters chanted slogans against Hyderabad Electric Supply Company (HESCO) and burnt tyres. Due to long power load shedding, the residents faced water shortage issue also. Traffic remained suspended on roads as the protesters blocked the roads. They ended the protest when police assured them that their problem would be solved soon.
