The Sindh High Court has extended protective bail of former Balochistan chief minister Jam Muhammad Yousaf for 15 days who is accused of involvement in the murder of Akbar Bugti.
According to media reports, a bench of the Sindh High Court presided over by Justice Farooq Friday held hearing of the Nawab Akbar Bugti’s murder case here on Friday.
Former CM Balochistan, Jam Yousaf appeared before the court with his lawyers M Ilyas Khan and Muhammad Farooq. The court issued Jam Yousaf’s bail orders covering a span of 15 days ordering him to present himself before the relevant court.
Jam Yousaf took the stance in the court that he wanted to appear before the concerned court in Balochistan but the provincial government of Balochistan has not permitted him to do so, as the banned militant organisation Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) announced that if Jam Yousaf presented himself before the court he will be killed.
He requested the court to extend his protective bail to enable him to appear before the Balochistan High Court.
It is pertinent to mention here that Jam Yousaf had obtained protective bail of Rs 5,00,000 after the Supreme Court issued his arrest warrants.
