National Defence University President Lt-Gen Agha Umer Farooq, awarded certificates to the successful participants of 5th National Media Workshop Friday at the varsity. According to ISPR, speaking on the occasion, he termed the National Media Workshop at this point in time very centrally relevant, first, to help foster a clear perception of the national security challenges that confront Pakistan today. Secondly, to pave the way for developing harmony and consensus on key challenges and finally, by bringing together participants from all over Pakistan and enabling them to reflect on issues from a national standpoint. He said the NDU was able to provide the participants with congenial learning environment and afford them the opportunity to make intellectual contributions of high quality. The two-week long National Media Workshop was attended by over 60 participants from various segments of the society. The participants were provided with the opportunity to interact with eminent resource persons and top leaders from various public and private sector organisations.
