Six bombs were recovered and defused near the Borstal Jail on Friday, averting a terror plot. According to police sources, six handmade toy bombs were packed in a shopper bag and kept in a farm near the roadside, hardly 100 yards away from the Borstal Jail. They were recovered on a tip off and defused by the Bomb Disposal Squad. Superintendent Madina Town Police said the six indigenous bombs contained six kilogrammes of explosives. He said that it could have been a terror plot, targeting the nearby Borstal Jail or Police Investigation Cell, which was foiled. An investigation regarding this was underway, he said.
