Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan said on Friday that the Contempt of Court Act was introduced just to secure corrupt politicians.
Addressing the PTI cultural wing seminar, Imran Khan said that it was impossible for a country to follow different laws at the same time: one for special class while another for downtrodden.
He said the government was playing these tactics in order to secure six billion of President Asif Ali Zardari, adding that some of the politicians were trying to create panic by using the name of army.
“The reality is that they have nothing to do with democratic values; rather their job is only to conceal their looted money which they have collected in the name of so-called government of the people.”
He said the country was already in the grip of challenging problems; so any unconstitutional step would be hazardous and treacherous.
Commenting on Fakhruddin G Ibrahim as Chief Election Commissioner, Khan said that candid and transparent polls were likely in the country.

  1. This is black law that differentiate between people in power and commoners. Hence, if Supreme Court order them to act then they are not bound to respond and there will be no recourse against them.

  2. "The more corrupt the state, the more laws.”
All legislative experiments in the way of making forcible distribution of the wealth produced in any country have failed.

  3. Imran Khan is speaking on all issues but NATO supply. It means US has told him to keep quite.I am disapointed with Imran Khan.
