CJ takes notice of Degari incident

Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry on Thursday took serious notice of the Degari incident and ordered that those responsible should be arrested.
Earlier, bodies of seven kidnapped miners were found in the Degari area on the outskirts of Quetta.
According to sources, the deceased were identified as Deen Mohammad, Ahmedullah, Kashir Khan, Khan Mohammad, Mohammad Nawaz, Abdul Ahmed and Mohammad Akbar. They belonged to Swat in Khyber Pakhtunkwa province.
It is pertinent to mention that unidentified gunmen had kidnapped seven coalmine workers from the Sorange mining fields, some 20 kilometres away from Quetta on July 7.
The miners were working for a private coalmine company in Marwar called United Mineral Company.
Chief Justice taking notice of the incident has also summoned a report regarding the incidents in three days.
