Despite the shortfall coming down to 3,458 megawatt, prolonged load shedding continued in the country on Tuesday.
According to energy management cell spokesman, an increase in water level and improved fuel supply led to more power generation. However, only 13,282MW of the16,740 MW total electricity generated is being supplied.
Lahore continued to face at least 10 hours of load shedding, while the situation was even worse in rural areas.
