Bangladesh approach Saqlain Mushtaq for spin coach

Former spinner Saqlain Mushtaq is in contention to become the slow bowling coach of Bangladesh.
The Pakistani spinner became the fastest to reach the milestones of 100, 150, 200 and 250 ODI wickets.
Since his retirement, Saqlain has taken up several minor coaching roles, with players all over the world keen on benefiting from his wealth of knowledge and expertise. His coaching experience has culminated in the opening of a cricket academy in Luton, England.
“Yes, it’s accurate that I’ve been approached by the Bangladesh Cricket Board for the role of spin bowling coach. I’m honoured that they have approached me; it would be a good opportunity and great challenge for me. I have not signed a deal yet to become the Bangladesh spin bowling coach but my agent is in discussions with the BCB,” he said.
If Saqlain takes up the role, he will have a host of talented young Bangladeshi spinners to work with-Abdur Razzak, Shakib Ul-Hasan, and Suhrawadi Shuvo, Pakpassion.net reports.
Saqlain could help Bangladesh continue their recent upward trend in international cricket and may see them start competing with the topsides on a regular basis.
