Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry on Tuesday directed the authorities concerned to recover all missing persons within a week and if some were in Farrari Camps, they should be presented as well.
He passed the directives while hearing the Balochistan unrest case in the Supreme Court’s Quetta Registry. The chief justice said all missing persons should be recovered within one week. To this, FC Commander Shahbaz said the missing persons were present in Farrari Camp.
“Do not portray Farrari Camp as a paranormal spot and if missing persons are there, they should be presented in the given time,” the chief justice said, adding that despite clear orders, the missing persons were not being produced.
“We came here to solve people’s problems not to hold a picnic party,” he said. The chief justice ordered the officials to present missing person Mehran Baloch and summoned FC DIG Farrogh Shehzad to appear in court today (Wednesday).
Gohar Ali- son of missing Ali Hassan Mengal from Khuzdar – said in his statement that the FC officers called him at the camp and asked to review the case. The chief justice then issued orders to produce Ali Hassan Mengal as well. The counsel for Frontier Corps said in his argument that there was no missing person in custody of the FC and such allegations were aimed at maligning the reputation of the force. The chief justice said there were evidences present against the FC and the FC IG had already been asked to save the reputation of his department.
“Authority of the state is being challenged, but why is the state not fulfilling its responsibility,” the chief justice asked the home secretary while referring to the attacks on pilgrims buses across the province. The CJ said the government must secure the life and property of the people of Balochistan. He said the government should not only develop Balochistan but should deal with handful of terrorists with an iron hand. He asked why law-enforcement agencies were helpless before a few terrorists.
The Balochistan chief secretary confessed that law and order in the province was unsatisfactory and they were faced with a war-like situation. The chief secretary said they had to deal with sectarian violence and battle banned organisations.
Missing person returns: Late on Tuesday night, a missing person appeared in Quetta after an absence of about one year. Police said Abdul Wahab had gone missing on August 3, 2011 from Hazarganji area of the provincial capital. He was resident of Old Custom House, Quetta. Police and the family of the missing person declined to provide further details.

  2. This man is progressively gnawing away at whatever semblance of stability is left in Pakistan.

  3. Dual PCO Judge Iftikhar should hear following cases before any other:
    1) Case regarding Shahbaz Sharif's membership of Punjab Assembly. Constitutionally, he is not a member. Thus Punjab, which is more than 60% of Pakistan, is being ruled by a usurper. The delay in hearing this case seems to be because of connivance of Iftikhar. Do the Sharifs also have evidences against Iftikhar like Malik Riaz Hussain?
    2) Asghar Khan petition.
Why is Iftikhar shirking away from these cases. Does he think hearing these cases will not help his vendetta against PPP government?
By the way, he dismissed unanimously elected Honourable Prime Minister Mr Yusuf Raza Gilani through a judgement which is blatantly malafide and in violation of the Constitution. But the people's court is all set to announce its judgement in the bye-election.

  4. Frist Separate Lej leader from your defence council and then find the missing people and the target killer!!!
