Govt Will not allow anyone to take law in hands: Malik

Adviser to PM on Interior Rehman Malik said on Saturday that everyone had right to protest but would not be allowed to take law in hands.
Talking to the media after offering prayer of ASI Asghar Abbasi, Malik said they would provide security to NATO containers. He also stated that the leaders of banned outfits would be arrested if they came to Islamabad.
“Foolproof security will be provided to NATO containers. Rangers and local police will provide security to containers in Sindh, while police and Frontier Constabulary will escort them in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa,” he added.
To a question, he said the parliament was the right forum to amend the constitution and amendments would be enacted by legislators after thorough debate. “I have already surrendered my dual nationality. Dual nationality was allowed in Pakistan in the 1951 constitution,” he added.
He said overseas Pakistanis were serving the nation by sending valuable remittances back home. “They must be provided right to vote, however, the dual nationality must be surrendered after the winning of elections,” he added.
