President Asif Ali Zardari on Thursday met Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Memon and discussed with him issues concerning the heated political scenario.
Sources told that the meeting lasted for quite a while in which president and the minister threw light on Sindh situation, particularly on the thorny issue of the resignation of PPP Karachi Division President Faisal Raza Abidi. The law and order situation of Karachi also came under discussion.
Both the PPP leaders also discussed progress on different projects and reconciliation policies of the ruling coalition partners.
Sources further added that the president made it clear to Memon not to make any compromises on the safety of lives of masses as it was the prime responsibility of the government.
“No one will be allowed to challenge the writ of the state at any cost,” Zardari said.
PPP would continue the path of reconciliation through all thick and thin, sources quoted the president as saying.
