The third phase of the Hepatitis screening and prevention programme for workers was initiated on Thursday.
The Sindh Minister for Labour, Amir Nawab Khan, has set up a camp office in this connection at SITE Association office, said a statement. It said that the programme started from Kotri under the Sindh Employees Social Security Institution (SESSI). The Minister said that the first screening of registered workers and their family members would be carried out. It was further stated that the Hepatitis control programme would be expanded to all corners of the province. The Minister said that under the social security scheme 631,000 registered workers and their 3.1 million family members were benefiting from the SESSI facilities.
