Ushna in Egypt tennis doubles quarters

Ushna advanced into the doubles quarter-finals in the ITF Pro-circuit Women Tennis, Egypt.
Ushna Suhail, who has been both women and junior tennis champion in Pakistan, is currently competing in ITF Pro-circuit Women’s Tennis Tournament in Shremul Sheikh.
After qualifying for the main draw by defeating an Italian, Emy Damiani, Ushna played both her single first round and doubles pre-quarters last night. In singles she played against the 3rd seed from Kazakistan, Kamila Kerimbayeva. She struggled hard for about two hours with deuces but her opponent played a superior game and won with a scoreline of 6-1, 6-1.
In doubles, Ushna partnering with Adnya Naik from India won the prequarters against the Russian pair, Alisa Danilova and Varvara Kuznetsova. It was a very well contested match. Both sides played aggressive strokes with baseline rallies and net volleys. In the first set, the Russians were 2 games up, but then Ushna and Adnya played well-coordinated aggressive strokes and made it 5 all. They kept their pace and won the set by 7-5. in the second set, Russians performed better and took the set by 6-2. In the super tie break, the Russians were leading by 8-3, but then the Indo-Pak pair demonstrated a superb display of serves, baseline and net game making it 8 all and finally won with a lead of 10-8. Double prequarter score was 7-5, 2-6, 10-8.
The next match will be quarters against the Kazakistan pair, 4th seeds, Ekaterina Klyueva and Alexandra Grinchishina.
