The Islamabad police promoted four sub inspectors and as many assistant sub inspectors to next ranks. The promotions were approved on the directive of the departmental promotion committee. IGP Bani Amin Khan has given formal approval to these promotions. The four sub inspectors who have been promoted as inspectors in BPS-16 are Fayyaz Ahmad Ranjha, Jamshaid Khan, Nazar Hussain and Muhammad Ejaz Quraishi. ASIs Javid Ishraf, Jahangir Ahmad, Safdar Kahn and Qadeer Ahmad have been promoted to the rank of sub inspector (BPS-14).
