Illegal parking areas have become endemic around major commercial areas of cities and Cantt board with the backing of police and political organization. These illegal sites in major commercial hubs are not only affecting the normal flow of traffic but also causing millions of rupees loss in revenue to Tehsil municipal administration and cantonment board. Criminal groups operating in these illegal areas collect parking fee and upon non-payment the police either takes the cars into custody or they are damaged.
