Islamabad Deputy Commissioner Amer Ali Ahmed has directed the assistant commissioners of Secretariat and rural areas to carry out inspection of patwar offices in the rural areas regularly and ensure availability of patwaris at their workplaces during office timing. The DC also directed the ACs to direct patwaris to redress public complaints on the spot and submit their inspection reports to the district collector fortnightly. He issued these instructions to the ACs during a meeting chaired by him to review the performance of the revenue administration. The DC directed the officials to ensure quick action on public complaints, warning if any patwari was found involved in any malpractice, stern action would be taken against him.
