The Lahore High Court judge Justice Ahjazul Hassan on Tuesday issued notices to Secretary Health, Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC), and Young Doctors Association (YDA) for July 6 and remarked that young doctors’ strike in Punjab province was against their oath.
While hearing a case against young doctors’ strike, Justice Hassan said that the law and constitution did not give the right to doctors to go on a strike. He said that doctors were sons of the nation and that they should be treated well.
It is pertinent to mention here that at least 10 patients including a child have died in the province during the strike by Young Doctors.

  1. So the PML-N Govt has finally shown it simply can’t handle this issue. They have the basic lack of governance which led things turn so ugly. The bottom line is that they have to come on table with the young doctors, discuss their genuine issues and give a time frame to solve them all. or the things will soon be out of their control and army will be replacing not only the doctors but the civilian government as well!!
