Six family members gunned down over marriage feud in Mardan

Armed men gunned down six members of a family and injured three others over marriage feud here on Monday.
According to details, Sajjad Khan, an FC constable hailing from Afzalabad area of Mardan arranged second marriage with a local woman some five months back.
In-laws of Sajjad were annoyed over his second marriage and they were repeatedly threatening him.
On Monday morning, while Sajjad was on duty, armed men stated to be family members and relatives of his first wife barged into the house and started indiscriminate firing at the residents.
As a result of firing parents of the FC constable, his second wife, a brother and sister and one month old niece were killed on the spot while three others sustained critical wounds.
The attackers managed to escape after killing spree.
The police have registered a case against nine accused and started raids to arrest them.
