Three women and a minor of a family drowned in River Indus at Ghazi Ghatt picnic spot on Sunday. The family, which hailed from Rinrad, had come to the riverbank for picnic. Reports said a woman of the family, Shahida, was bathing her son in the river when her foot slipped and she plunged into the water with the child. Two of her cousins, Saira and Sonia jumped into the river to save them, but all four could not make it out of the river alive. Rescue 1122 personnel rushed to the site and recovered the bodies.
