Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Prime Minister (PM) Chaudhry Abdul Majeed on Sunday said that the AJK government would soon host an Intra-Kashmir All Parties Conference (APC) to encourage and support sincere efforts for a quick and peaceful settlement of the Kashmir dispute. Addressing a news conference at the PWD Rest House, Majeed said that political leaders from both sides of the line of control (LoC) would be included in the conference. Flanked by his press secretary Zaffar Mughal and other members of his media crew, the AJK PM also said that local bodies’ elections will be held in the near future in AJK. He added that the AJK Election Commission had been asked to make new voters’ lists besides undertaking and completing the required demarcation of civic constituencies. The AJK PM said that the objective of holding the proposed the APC was to devise a collective strategy for making the Kashmir freedom movement a success through an exchange of ideas. He added that all the political parties of Pakistan and AJK would be consulted to establish a consensus to hold the proposed APC.
