Strike of Young Doctors is going on for the last 14 days while the senior doctors have started their efforts for interrupting the strike.
Senior doctors including Professor Tariq Salah-ud-Din, Dr Javed Akram, and Dr Faisal Masood will meet the representatives of the young doctors in the General Hospital on Monday.
No young doctors are serving in Multan and Faisalabad as yet despite the warnings issued by the government of Punjab.
The holidays of doctors were cancelled in Faisalabad government hospital but none of them is present on duty.
The situation is no different in Victoria Hospital, Bahawalpur, and the young doctors have aggravated the problems of patients manifolds.
On the other hand, the government of Punjab has made alternate arrangements for re-opening of Out Patient Department (OPD) in hospitals.
On Sunday, 15 Army doctors begun examining patients in OPD of District Headquarters Hospital Gujranwala while 454 newly inducted doctors will also be deployed in different hospitals.
Sources said the senior doctors hinted at calling off the strike and assured the Chief Minister of Punjab to do so unconditionally in order to avoid any further conflict but no development has been made in this regard till to date.
