The citizens living in the Cantt Board area are facing severe water shortage. The supply was interrupted due to bursting of supply lines during excavation work for extension of Peshawar Road.
Due to interruption of water supply people living in Chohar Chaki, Lane No 4, 5 and 6 are facing hardships in different areas of the Cantt Board. They have demanded of the higher officials to take notice of the crisis and ensure resumption of water supplies.
10 more dispensaries
upgraded: Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has approved upgradation of 10 more dispensaries in Rawalpindi.
In line with this approval, chairman of the municipal committee dispensaries, MPA Sheharyar Riaz, has issued a notification, upgrading dispensaries in Rata Amral, Bani mullah, Ammar Purra specially in Chamanzar Colony along with four dispensaries in Rawalpindi to meet the medical needs of the people. Under this plan, dispensaries would be equipped with the latest ultrasound and other facilities.
Punjab to hire 996 teachers: Under the direction of Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, the provincial government will start recruitment of science teachers against 996 vacant seats in Rawalpindi division. The Punjab government has reserved 2% and 5% quota for disabled and minorities, respectively. Potential candidates between 20 to 35 years would submit challan forms worth Rs 100 along with their educational documents to the government while the recruitment of the teachers would be completed by the end of July.
Meanwhile, the government some years back had stopped recruitment against 1,100 vacant seats of arts teachers.
