22 suspects arrested during search operations in capital

The city police on Friday rounded up 12 suspects from Margallah Hills and 10 others from Bhara Kahu and Bani Gala areas.
Police commandos, including women cparticipated in search operation while searching team also used sniffer dogs to search villages near Margalla Hills.
The teams of Margallah police station, headed by Station House Officer Inspector Muhammad Hussain Lassi, conducted a search operation in villages Kalinger, Chontra, Gandhian around Margallah hills and nabbed 12 suspects.
Likewise, SHO Inspector Nazeer from Bhara Kahu police station along with police teams also conducted a search operation in villages Athal and Sari Chowk and nabbed 10 suspects. Another search operation was also conducted in the jurisidiction of Bani Gala and strict vigilance is being ensured there.
During the search operations, the police arrested those who could not furnish proof of their identity and any solid justification for staying in Islamabad.
Islamabad SSP Muhammad Yousuf Malik has directed heads of all police stations to maintain high vigilance in their respective areas and screen houses, workshops, markets, under-construction buildings and residential areas.
Following the directions of IGP Islamabad Bani Amin Khan and SSP Islamabad Muhammad Yousuf Malik, policemen in the form of teams would continue search operation in the coming days. The SSP said that these measures are being taken to ensure foolproof security and keep a vigilant eye on the suspected elements.
A spokesman for Islamabad police said that search operations would continue and a complete combing would be held in sensitive areas.
