Pakistan People’s Party Central Secretary General Jahangir Badar said the parliament was the mother of all institutions and there was no concept of democracy without the parliament.
Talking to People’s Labour Bureau workers on Thursday, he said the PPP deserved credit for ensuring the supremacy of the parliament by restoring the constitution in its real form.
He said the parliament was free and playing its role in determining the foreign policy. He said the democratic powers in the country were united and tackling the conspiracies hatched against democracy and the democratic process. Badar said the PPP was leading the country on the road to progress under the leadership of President Zardari. He hoped the PPP will win the next elections with a prominent margin to form the next government.
