The Pakistan Medical Association (PMA) has vowed to support the Punjab government in an anti-quackery drive and to rid the city of the 40,000 quacks that are playing with the lives of the patients for years.
PMA leader Dr Salman Kazmi urged Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif to make the anti-quackery helpline operative that was established over five months back on the pattern of anti-dengue helpline to eradicate the menace. The PMA has announced complete support for the Punjab government in case of any anti-quackery campaign in city, he added.
The PMA leader further demanded that a plan be made for the eradication of quackery and all doctors organisations should also be taken on board for the purpose.
