Commissioner Karachi Roshan Ali Shaikh on Wednesday said that a sum of Rs3 billion would be spent on various development projects of District Council Karachi (DCK). He said this after a meeting in his office regarding the development projects of District Council Karachi. The meeting was attended by provincial ministers Muzaffar Ahmed Shujra, Sajid Jokhio, MNA Sher Muhammad Baloch, Adviser to CM Sindh Salman Murad, MPA Muhammad Adil, Ismail Brohi and Raja Razzak of PPP, Chief Officer of District Council Karachi Nadir Ali Wassan. It was decided at the meeting that the matters regarding the DCK would be undertaken with mutual agreement and consultation. Efforts would also be made for the enhancement of the budget of DCK. Commissioner Karachi said that special attention was being paid towards the betterment of the people living in the jurisdiction of District Council as well as towards the development works. “Cottage industry would also be promoted for the creation of job opportunities,” he added.
