No more politics now!

Due to high rise in crime ratio in the city, the government has decided to reshuffle the Karachi police as police officers having some political affiliations will either removed or transferred to other posts in the department, it has been learnt reliably.
More than 100 officers will be transferred or removed from their posts in Karachi and Hayderabad as over 60 officers have already come under the target of this policy, the sources revealed.
Dozens of persons are being killed in the city on daily basis while incidents of sectarian violence, kidnapping, robbing, snatching and kidnapping for ransom are also being reported. Intelligence agencies have provided data of more than 200 police officers in Karachi and Hayderabad who are not fulfilling responsibilities due to their political affiliations, the sources added.
“Politically affiliated police men favour criminals and remain unable to serve general public”, told a high official of the Sindh government and added: “Now they will be removed or transferred”. According to a report of intelligence agencies, more than 130 serving policemen including SSPs, SPs, DSPs and SHOs in Karachi have affiliations with different political parties and 87 such officers are serving in Hayderabad which is the main cause of the high crime ratio in the city.
“The government has decided to purge the department of such elements”, the sources claimed. The concerned authorities have been asked to provide the list of police officers having good track record from all over the province. More than a dozen police officers from different areas of Sindh have been called who will be posted in the city soon.
“Some 25 police officers from Sukkhur, Larkana, Jacobabad and other areas have reached the city and they are waiting for their postings”, said the sources. The government has also decided to provide security to the police officials and their families who will participate in the operation against the criminals in Karachi and Hayderabad. However, police officers have showed concern over government policies in this regard. “All police officers will be provided complete shelter and security to their families”, the sources added.
These arrangements are being made to curb criminals in Karachi and Hayderabad. Such arrangement will also be made in other part of the province. However, Karachi is on the top priority due to high crime ratio in the city during last three years. Karachi faced 18 waves of targeted killings wherein more than 3,500 persons have been killed till now.
