Senior Advisor Zulfiqar Khan Khosa said the government would ensure availability of daily use items at cheaper rates during the month of Ramazan and a ban on smoking was also being considered.
Khosa said district price control committees were being activated and made more effective so that the people could get daily use items at fixed price.
He warned that hoarders and profiteers would not be allowed to create artificial shortage. Khosa said law enforcement agencies had been asked to remain vigilant to thwart evil designs of unscrupulous elements during the holy month of Ramazan in the province. He said the government was contemplating to put a complete ban on smoking during fasting hours.
