English poet Kaleem Omar remembered

Pakistan’s English language of poet of eminence and a renowned journalist Kaleem Omar remembered on his death anniversary today (Monday). Kaleem Omar was born in Lucknow in 1937.
He was a prominent poet of English language and played a significant role in promoting culture of this region in his poems, private news channel reported.
Kaleem Omar’s distinctive style of writing, his command of the language and his encyclopedic knowledge of a diverse range of subjects was truly remarkable.
From 1983 to 1988, he wrote for The Star Weekend while he got associated with The News in 1989 and remained connected with the Newspaper for the next two decades.
Apart from his journalism, Kaleem Omar was also recognized as one of the finest poets writing in the English language in the country having published his collection `Wordfall’ in 1975.
Kaleem Omar died of heart failure on June 25, 2009 at Karachi.
