Police arrest assassin

Quaidabad police on Saturday claimed to have arrested a target killer allegedly involved in the killing of 19 people.
The Superintendent of Police (SP) Malir in a press briefing said that accused Jehanzab alias Fuji was arrested from Star Ground in Quaidabad area. He said the accused was involved in 19 cases of target killings in different areas of the metropolis including Orangi Town, Sherpao Colony, Malir, Khokrapar and Mehmoodabad. Further investigation is underway, he added.
CM condoles Mehessar’s
demise: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah has expressed deep grief and sorrow over the demise of ex-MPA and a senior politician of Dadu district Qazi Shafiq Mahessar who died on Saturday.
In a condolence message, the chief minister paid tributes to the deceased for his services for the cause of democracy and public welfare. He prayed for the rest of departed soul in eternal peace and courage to the bereaved family to bear this loss.
Syed Qaim Ali Shah has also expressed deep grief and sorrow over the demise of Haji Ghulam Hussain Bhambhro, the father of senior journalist Atta Muhammad Bhambhro.
In a condolence message here Saturday, he prayed Almighty Allah to rest the departed soul in eternal peace.
The chief minister has also condoled the demise of senior reporter Moeen Ahmed who died yesterday due to cardiac arrest at Lahore.
