Senior Minister Chaudhry Pervez Elahi has said that his party would file reference against its MNAs who violated party discipline by not casting votes to Raja Pervez Ashraf for premiership.
Speaking to media after the meeting, he said the only thing came under discussion during the meeting was power crisis in the country. He said the prime minister assured him that immediate measures would be taken to overcome the power shortfall. PML-Q leader called on newly elected Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf on Saturday.
Shahbaz Sharif was holding protest rallies in which not only public properties were being destroyed but residences of MPAs were also being hit, he added.
He said it was time of change; other provinces were cooperating with the federal government but Punjab was deviating from reality. He said the reference would be filed against those who had not given votes to PM.
The minister said Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, along with his party workers, was agitating. He accused him of attacking the residence of PML-Q leader Riaz Fatyana.
Pervez Elahi said that “good news” regarding deputy prime minister would soon be given to the people, without mentioning whether he would be the deputy of Raja Pervez Ashraf or not.
