Gilani moves to President’s House with family

Former prime minister Yousaf Raza Gilani has moved to the President’s House along with his family members. A private TV channel reported on Saturday that a presidential suite of four bedrooms on the sixth floor had been set up for Gilani, who remained loyal to the Pakistan People’s Party and kept flouting Supreme Court’s orders on write a letter to Swiss authorities for reopening corruption cases against President Asif Ali Zardari. Earlier, Gilani had decided to live in Islamabad Club but changed the decision because of security concerns. Gilani will try to run the show from the Presidency, and Raja Pervaiz Ashraf will just be the public face as prime minister, and an agreement has also been reached with the new PM in this regard, according to media reports citing sources. The reports added that Gilani’s bureaucratic aides such as Nargis Sethi, Khushnud Lashari and others would continue working on their positions and thus Raja would be dependent and surrounded by the cronies of the former PM.
