Punjab Assembly opposition leader Raja Riaz Ahmed flayed Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif for backing rioters under the pretext of the load shedding protests and said the CM will not succeed in maligning the PPP leadership.
Talking to the media at the Punjab Assembly, he said Shahbaz
Sharif had failed to run the province’s affairs and that to divert the people’s attention from government’s failures he was bent upon harassing and terrorizing the opposition leaders.
To a question, he said, using abusive language by the PML-N backed assembly members against the female opposition legislators was highly regrettable.
He stated that the restrictions placed on Q-League’s Seemal Kamran were unjustified and demanded the Punjab Assembly speaker to withdraw them.
The opposition leader asked the chief minister not to cross his limits and give the opposition its due status. Answering another question, Raja Riaz said PPP could not be deterred by conspiracies from raising its voice for people’s rights.
