Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences Jamshoro Controller of Examinations Thursday announced the schedule of postgraduate April examinations 2012 of different courses starting from June 26, 2012.
He informed that Postgraduate April Examinations 2012 of M.D. Final Cardiology, Diploma in Cardiology, DCP, DMP Part-I and Part-II, MD General Medicine (Basic Medical Science), MD Cardiology (Basic Medical Science), MD Psychiatry (Basic Medical Science), MS General Surgery (Basic Medical Science), MS Orthopaedic Surgery (Basic Medical Science) and MS Ophthalmology (Basic Medical Science) will be conducted from June 26 at Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences Jamshoro.
LUMHS Academic council meets: The 32nd meeting of the academic council of Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences Jamshoro was held on Thursday under the chair of Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Syed Mashoor Alam Shah.
According to university spokesman, the meeting discussed various issues at length pertaining to further improvement of the academic affairs of the university in order to bring the higher learning institution at the par of international standard. The meeting decided to grant more admissions in PhD Degree courses in order to improve the trend of research in the field of medical education. While paying rich tributes to the services of deceased Prof Dr Aftab Qureshi, the meeting decided to name Neurosurgery Ward of Liaquat University Hospital as Prof Dr Aftab Qureshi Neurosurgery Ward.
The meeting was informed that the university management has requested the Governor Sindh who is also the Chancellor of LUMHS to grant approval of transferring the admission of the son of Prof Dr Aftab Qureshi from the medical college of Karachi to LUMHS.
The meeting was attended among others by Registrar Muhammad Saleh Rajar, Prof Shafih Muhammad Jatoi and Medical Superintendent Liaquat University Hospital Syed Kazim Ali Raza Shah.
