Punjab University College of Art & Design’s (PUCAD) Musicology Department organized a reference in commemoration of legendary Ghazal Singer Mehdi Hasan at the Main Hall of Allama Iqbal Campus on Wednesday.
PU Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Mujahid Kamran, College Principal Prof Dr Rahat Naveed Masud, Coordinator of Musicology Department Israr Chishti, eminent dramatist Asghar Nadeem Syed, music critic Salwat Ali, known cartoonist Jawed Iqbal, Ali Agha, Qasim Jafri, faculty members and a large number of students were also present on the occasion.
Asghar Nadeem Syed, Qasim Jafri, Salwat Ali, Jawed Iqbal and Israr Chishti cast light on the genius of the departed maestro.
Speaking at the occasion Prof Dr Rahat Naveed Masud thanked all the speakers and guests, and paid homage to the departed ‘King of Ghazal.’
PU declares results: The Punjab University Examinations Department has declared the results of MA Philosophy (Semester System), session 2009-11 and MA Music (semester system), session 2008-10.
