Robbers shot dead a police constable for putting up resistance at Sahari Road in the jurisdiction of Sadar Police Station on Wednesday. Naib Moharrar Tariq was employed at Abbas Line Lahore and came back to Kasur on Tuesday to visit his family when some persons Shahid and Ramzan informed him about the presence of dacoits near the stadium. Tariq reached the spot and asked the accused to surrender upon which they shot him. His funeral prayer was offered at police line in which MNA Malik Rasheed Ahmed Khan, MNA Sheikh Waseem Akhter, DPO Khurram Ali Shah, SP investigation and other members of civil society participated.
