Former advisor to PM and PML-Q leader Ahmad Yar Hiraj has claimed that ‘state terrorism’ was being meted out to him and other PML-N opponents on the pretext of protests against load shedding protests.
“The Pakistan Muslim League is sponsoring violent protests against outages and victimising its opponents. It is a case of state terrorism,” Hiraj said while speaking to newsmen outside the Punjab Assembly on Wednesday.
His residence was attacked by an infuriated mob protesting against prolonged outages in Khanewal town.
Three people were killed and nine others were injured when Hiraj’s private security guards fired at the protestors from the rooftop of the house.
He said claimed that fuel was being supplied by the provincial government to set his house on fire.
“I do not accept any chief minister who orders attacks on opponents’ houses,” Hiraj added.
