A petition filed in the Lahore High Court on Wednesday to declare all the steps taken by former Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani from April 26 to June 19 as unconstitutional.
The petition was filed by advocate Muhammad Shumail and stated that the Supreme Court had disqualified Gilani, which had also ended his membership of the parliament and that he ceased to be PM from April 26.
The petition stated that it meant there had not been any government in existence after 26 April.
The petitioner requested the court to declare all the decisions made by Gilani and his cabinet after April 26 as unconstitutional and illegal.
The decision includes the federal budget 2012-13, the appointments and transfers made of high ranking officers in the federal government and other areas.
The court was also requested to reimburse the national exchequer with the expenditures made by Gilani, especially the money spent on overseas tours during that period.
