BB’s struggle for democracy ‘unmatchable’: CM

Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto did unmatched struggle for restoration and strengthening of democracy, revival of democratic institutions and strengthening of judiciary in the country. She worked day and night to protect the people’s rights and their socio-economic uplift, and for solidarity and prosperity of the country. This was stated by Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah, in his message on the eve of 59th birthday anniversary of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto; which falls on June 21.
He said that the history of Bhutto family-from Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto to Shaheed Benazir Bhutto – is full of sacrifices. Shaheed Benazir Bhutto launched a historic movement for getting legitimate rights of the people and motivated them for the same. But, he continued, the anti-state forces felt her a serious threat for them and got rid of, by martyring her. He said that Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto, who twice became the Prime Minister of the country, would remain alive in the hearts of the people because of her meritorious services and struggle, programmes/policies for better social and economic life of the people, restoration and strengthening of democracy, for supremacy of the constitution. That she had extreme affection and involvement with the masses. “Shaheed Benazir Bhutto would be guiding not only us, but our next generations,” he remarked. The Chief Minister said that present Government of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) has successfully completed its four and half years. In pursuance of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto’s vision and policies and mission to serve the people, President Asif Ali Zardari along with his team has been making his sincere and serious efforts. He was working hard to accomplish the task. Syed Qaim Ali Shah said that to mark birth anniversary of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto, the arrangements to collect blood donations have been duly made in the province as well and for this purpose a campaign would be started from June 21.
