At least 10 militants were killed when fighter jets targeted their hideouts in Tirah Valley of Khyber Agency on Wednesday.
The officials said that five militant dens were targeted by the aircraft. A number of militants were also injured, but there were no further details.
Meanwhile, members and volunteers of a peace lashkar in Mohmand Agency on Wednesday refused to allow the burial of two close relatives of a militant commander in the area.
The bodies were later moved to Peshawar and buried at a graveyard along the Charsada Road.
Per details, two close relatives of notorious militant commander Mukamil were shot dead in Karachi. The bodies arrived in Mohmand Agency but the tribesmen, who have constituted peace lashkar against the militants, refused to allow the bodies to be buried in the area.
Members and volunteers of the lashkar have banned the burial of bodies of militants or their close relatives in Mohmand.
