A man was shot dead by unidentified gunmen at Arbab Karam Khan Road of the city on Tuesday.
According to the police, the slain man was a teacher and was identified as Nazeer Marri. He was gunned down while he was on his way to school.
The gunmen escaped from the scene soon after the incident.
The police shifted his body to the civil hospital for legal formalities and after that handed him over to his heirs.
Sources told that he was a near colleague of Nawab Khair Bux Marri.
Angry people staged protests against his murder. The police used aerial firing and shelling to disperse the protesters.
