Six killed, 20 injured in separate incidents in Quetta

At least six persons including a teacher were killed and 20 others injured in separate incidents in various areas of Balochistan here on Tuesday.
According to the police, two rival armed groups in the Chashma Achozai area exchanged fire at each other due to old enmity, killing three persons including a child on the spot and injuring 12 others from both sides.
Police reached the spot and controlled the situation. The injured and dead bodies were shifted to Civil Hospital where five among injured were stated to be in critical condition.
In another incident in Quetta, a school teacher was gunned down by unknown miscreants on Tuesday at Arbab Karam Khan Road of the city.
Police said that unidentified miscreants riding a motorcycle opened fire on a high school teacher who died on the spot.
Police arrived at the scene and shifted body of the teacher to hospital for autopsy.
The attackers fled from the scene after the incident while the students protested against teacher’s killing and blocked Sariab Road.
The enraged students forced the shops to close and damaged police mobile.
In Rakhani area,a passenger van travelling to Loralai from Rakhani plunged into ravine while taking a sharp turn, killing two persons and injuring eight others.
Rescue team and Levies personnel reached the accident scene and shifted the injured and dead bodies to nearby hospital.
