Shabby condition of streets annoys residents

The penniless and shabby condition of streets in twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi is creating chaos amongst the residents.
Talking to APP, the residents of twin cities complained that despite the fact that it is 21st century and the broken, narrow and dirty streets of cities present scene of ruins.
The sewerage system is also not too good, gutters are overflowing and the holes and craters in the streets are causing incidents, especially during nighttime. People stumble and fall and get injuries.
Serfraz Ahmad, a resident of Bhara Kahu, complained that in the monsoon season the roads and streets present canal scene and vehicles and several bicycles have turned turtle. The broken streets and roads are creating problems and inconvenience specially for the residents of Bhara Kahu and Sohaan which are most populated rural areas of the federal capital.
World Refugees Day tomorrow: The United Nations (UN) World Refugee Day will be observed on June 20 across the world including Pakistan to honors the courage, strength and determination of women, men and children who are forced to flee their homeland under threat of persecution, conflict and violence. People honour the spirit and courage of millions of refugees worldwide on World Refugee Day. It is a day to recognize the contributions of refugees in their communities.
The annual commemoration is marked by a variety of events in more than 100 countries, involving government officials, humanitarian aid workers, celebrities, civilians and the forcibly displaced themselves. “On World Refugee Day, let us reaffirm the importance of solidarity and burden-sharing by the international community. Refugees have been deprived of their homes, but they must not be deprived of their futures,” said Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon.
World Music Day on 21st: The World Music Day is observed on June 21 every year across the globe including Pakistan to encourage young musicians as well as to use the music as the tool to create harmony and awareness on different issue.
The World Music Day, also known as the Fˆte de la Musique, began in France in 1982 and has since spread to Belgium, Britain, Luxembourg, Germany, Switzerland, Costa Rica, Israel, China, India, Lebanon, Malaysia, Morocco, Pakistan, Philippines, Romania, Colombia and other countries, reported a private news channel.
