Ghaibana Nimaz-e-Janaza of former Saudi Crown Prince Nayef bin Abdul Aziz who died on Saturday in Geneva was offered at Faisal Mosque on Monday. Khateeb of Faisal Mosque Maulana Tahir Siddique led the funeral prayers.
Earlier, speaking on the occasion, Maulana Tahir eulogized the services of the late crown prince for Pakistan. He prayed to Allah Almighty to rest the departed soul in eternal peace and grant courage and fortitude to the bereaved family to bear the irreparable loss with equanimity. He said Saudi Arabia helped Pakistan whenever need arose.
Senate Chairman Nayyer Hussain Bukhari, federal ministers, including Minister for Information and Broadcasting Qamar Zaman Kaira, Minister for Information Technology Raja Pervaiz Ashraf, State Minister for Professional and Technical Training Sardar Shahjehan Yousuf, State Minister for Inter-Provincial Coordination Malik Azmat, senior bureaucrats, officials of Saudi embassy and people from all walks of life attended the funeral prayers of the prince.
